Andreas Schwer

Chief Executive Officer

Dr Schwer was appointed Group CEO in August 2022. An accomplished executive leader with deep international experience – including in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America – Dr Schwer has had a varied career in the defence, manufacturing and space domains. His previous experience includes senior positions in the public sector defence industry and at the German defence company Rheinmetall AG, the US global equipment manufacturer Manitowoc Company, Airbus Group and the European Space Agency. He is currently a board member and recently retired Non-Executive Chairman of Australian based, ASX listed Titomic Ltd. Dr Schwer has a thorough understanding of the Company’s global operations, having acted, most recently, as President of EOS EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for two years, during which time he oversaw the expansion of the company’s operations in NATO and Middle Eastern markets. Among his qualifications, he holds a PhD in the field of system modelling and numerical optimisation.

Ben Greene

Founder, Head of Innovation

Dr Ben Greene developed and deployed laser space tracking capabilities and infrastructure across Australia. He was also the principal designer of the initial remote weapon systems programs for the US Army. Dr Greene is the founder of EOS and the company’s Head of Innovation having previously served as the company’s Group CEO until August 2022. He is widely published in science and technology, has authored numerous patents, and his work has been recognised by NASA and USAF awards. Dr Greene is a past member of Australia’s Prime Ministers Science, Engineering and Innovation Council (PMSEIC), Director of the CRC for Space Environment Management and Deputy Chair of the Western Pacific Laser Tracking Network (WPLTN). Appointed to the Board on 11 April 2002.

Tahir Khan

Chief Financial Officer (acting)

Mr. Khan was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer (Acting) in April 2022, having previously assumed this role in an interim capacity for several months. He joined EOS in June 2018 and has acted as the company’s Manager FP&A and Deputy CFO since that time. An expert in financial planning and analysis, Mr Khan previously held senior finance positions at various listed and unlisted organisations. Before joining the company, Mr Khan acted as Group Finance Manager for Lightforce Group. He is a Fellow member of CPA Australia and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Glen Tindall

CEO, Space Systems

Mr Tindall joined EOS in 2020 as CEO of Communications Systems and was appointed CEO of Space Systems in 2021. Prior to joining EOS he spent 17 years with SES, the world’s largest commercial satellite operator, delivering satellite communications solutions to business and government customers throughout the Indo-Pacific region. He holds an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tasmania, an MBA from the Deakin Business School, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Grant Sanderson

CEO, Defence Systems

Mr Sanderson joined EOS in January 2018 although he has worked on major EOS development activities as a consultant during 2016 and 2017. He is a military veteran of 25 years who prior to joining EOS was the Vice President Strategy and Business Development in Australia for the Israeli defence technology company Elbit Systems. Prior to joining Elbit, Mr Sanderson was the General Manager Strategy for the Thales Australia Land Division and was instrumental in the major product and manufacturing reforms that brought the Hawkei, Steyr F90 rifle and ammunition products to market including the international sales drive for the Bushmaster PMV.

Matt Jones

CEO, Defence Systems Australia

Mr Jones was appointed CEO, EOS Defence Systems (Australia) in December 2021. Throughout his 30-year career in the defence sector, he has worked in a variety of operational and high-security environments and in senior leadership roles that have encompassed high-level capability analysis; technical, program and human resource management; systems integration; strategic planning; and policy development.  Mr Jones joined EOS Defence Systems in May 2020 as General Manager, Land C4I. His signal achievements in that position included initiating and managing EOS’ leading role in the C4 EDGE program, a large-scale Australian industry collaboration, and overseeing the product development cycle for the company’s market-leading Titanis counter UAS system.

Morgan Bryant

Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary

Morgan Bryant joined EOS as the Group’s General Counsel in March 2020. Prior to joining EOS, he was Group General Counsel and Company Secretary with the ASX-listed Viva Leisure Limited (VVA:ASX), having advised the Group though its IPO in 2019 and a number of subsequent capital raising activities. Mr Bryant has previously held tenures as the Managing Partner of a Canberra-based legal practice and in a range of executive roles within Government, acquiring a strong background in litigation, corporate, commercial and administrative law. Mr Bryant was named Defence Lawyer of the Year in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of International Studies, Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and is admitted to the High Court of Australia as a Barrister and Solicitor.

Prof. Craig Smith

Chief Technology Officer

Prof. Smith joined EOS in 1998 and was appointed Chief Technology Officer in 2021. Previously he held the positions of CEO of Space Systems, CEO of Defence Systems, CEO of EOS Technologies and Head of Research and Development. Prior to joining EOS he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Defence Force Academy where he developed novel techniques for imaging-polarimetry and spectro-polarimetry at thermal IR wavelengths. Prof. Smith has lectured in Physics, Electronics and Military Ballistics and he has obtained Bachelors and PhD degrees from the University of Melbourne.

Pete Short

Group Chief Operating Officer

Mr Short joined EOS in January 2016 as VP, Strategy and Business Development. He served in the Australian Army from 1984 to 2015 as an Infantry Officer, serving in Somalia, East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan (twice) and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for action in Iraq. His last appointments in the Army were as Director General, Land Development and Director General, Base & Customer Support Services. He has a Master of Arts (Strategic Studies), Bachelor of Social Sciences (Human Resources Management) and is a Thai linguist.

Scott Hicks CSC

Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer

Mr Hicks joined the EOS team in 2017 and is a retired Brigadier with over 31 years’ experience in the Australian Army. He served in a broad range of logistic and strategic workforce appointments including leadership roles at various levels responsible for the delivery of logistic outcomes to deployed forces. During his service Mr Hicks deployed to the Sinai, Bougainville, East Timor and Afghanistan and was awarded the US Legion of Merit for his service in Afghanistan. He holds a Master of Defence Studies, a Master of Arts (Strategic Studies) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Shane Geisler

Chief Information Officer

Mr Geisler was appointed EOS’ inaugural Chief Information Officer in June 2022, having previously acted as the company’s IT Program Manager and Head of Global IT. Prior to joining EOS in 2020, he had spent more than 15 years driving the end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable, cost-effective ICT systems and strategies in a range of corporate and governmental organisations, including the federal government. An expert in digital transformation, cyber security and cloud-first solutions, Mr Geisler is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Master of Business Administration and is currently completing a Juris Doctor graduate law degree.

Henry Heng

President, EOS Defence Systems, Asia-Pac

Mr Heng joined the EOS team in 2011. His career in the defence industry spans 30 years and he has an impressive track record for identifying business opportunities. Working at Barco Pte Ltd he increased company sales revenue by more than double. During his 17 year tenure at Singapore Technology Kinetics he worked on defence business and collaboration opportunities for Land Systems and Air Defence Weapon Systems. He was posted to Taiwan and United States in 1991 and 2001 respectively and was presented a US flag by the office of Honourable Soloman P. Ortix, Member of Congress, to signify their appreciation in 2003.

Phil Coker

President, EOS Defence Systems, USA

Brigadier General (Retired) Phil Coker served with the US Army in the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East as a Cavalry Officer and Analyst for 32 years. After retirement, he joined the defense industry as a Director, ultimately managing four production facilities in the US and UK, building robots and command and control systems for the Department of Defense and Law Enforcement customers. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, holds a Master’s Degree in Systems Management from USC and is currently pursuing another Master’s from the University of Texas in Dallas.

AbdulRahman AlBlooshi

CEO, EOS Advanced Technologies, UAE

Mr AlBlooshi joined the EOS team in January 2018 bringing his strong project management and operational skills, having forged a solid career in the UAE Defence Industry. Prior to joining EOS he worked extensively with the Tawazun Group to help establish new defence companies. As Head of Operations at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company he managed the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) family of events. Mr AlBlooshi is a Master in Business Administration, a Master in Project Management Program, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering Management).
