Andreas Schwer

Chief Executive Officer

Dr Schwer was appointed Group CEO in August 2022. An accomplished executive leader with deep international experience – including in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America – Dr Schwer has had a varied career in the defence, manufacturing and space domains. His previous experience includes senior positions in the public sector defence industry and at the German defence company Rheinmetall AG, the US global equipment manufacturer Manitowoc Company, Airbus Group and the European Space Agency. He is currently a board member and recently retired Non-Executive Chairman of Australian based, ASX listed Titomic Ltd. Dr Schwer has a thorough understanding of the Company’s global operations, having acted, most recently, as President of EOS EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for two years, during which time he oversaw the expansion of the company’s operations in NATO and Middle Eastern markets. Among his qualifications, he holds a PhD in the field of system modelling and numerical optimisation.

Clive Cuthell

Chief Financial Officer

Mr Cuthell was appointed Chief Financial Officer in September 2022. In a broad-ranging career as a finance executive, he has spent over 15 years in the CFO role at several ASX-listed and multinational corporations operating in various global sectors, including manufacturing, industrials, satellite communications and fast-moving consumer goods. A specialist in driving growth and managing change, Mr Cuthell is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand; a graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; and Non-Executive Director of Learning Links, a Sydney-based not-for-profit organisation focused on preventing learning difficulties in children from causing disadvantage.

Matt Jones

Acting Executive Vice President, Defence Systems

Mr Jones was appointed Acting Executive Vice President, Defence Systems in September 2022. Previously, he had held the positions of CEO, EOS Defence Systems (Australia) and General Manager, Land C4I. Throughout his 30-year career in the defence sector, Mr Jones has worked in a variety of operational and high-security environments and in senior leadership roles that have encompassed high-level capability analysis; technical, program and human resource management; systems integration; strategic planning; and policy development. His major achievements since joining EOS in 2020 have included initiating and managing the company’s leading role in the C4 EDGE program, a large-scale Australian industry collaboration, and overseeing the product development cycle for Titanis, EOS’ next-generation counter UAS solution.

Dr James Bennett

Acting Executive Vice President, Space Systems

Dr James Bennett joined EOS Space Systems in 2011 and was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President (Acting) in 2022, having previously worked as Vice President, Head of Technology Development and Astrodynamics Group Leader. Dr Bennett has held academic roles at RMIT and the University of Western Australia and is a former leader of the Space Environment Management Program within the Space Environment Research Centre, a role he carried out in conjunction with his work at EOS. He was awarded a PhD in applied mathematics from RMIT University in 2008. Dr Bennett is a member of the International Laser Ranging Service Governing Board and Missions Standing Committee and plays an active role in a range of domestic and international space activities, particularly in relation to space domain awareness.

Ben Greene

Founder, Head of Innovation

Dr Ben Greene developed and deployed laser space tracking capabilities and infrastructure across Australia. He was also the principal designer of the initial remote weapon systems programs for the US Army. Dr Greene is the founder of EOS and the company’s Head of Innovation having previously served as the company’s Group CEO until August 2022. He is widely published in science and technology, has authored numerous patents, and his work has been recognised by NASA and USAF awards. Dr Greene is a past member of Australia’s Prime Ministers Science, Engineering and Innovation Council (PMSEIC), Director of the CRC for Space Environment Management and Deputy Chair of the Western Pacific Laser Tracking Network (WPLTN). Appointed to the Board on 11 April 2002.
